Executive Workshop: Preparing Your Business for the Next Downturn

For Owners and C-Level Executives – Limited to 40 ASA Members and Their Guests.

This event will feature a panel of resource experts to help attendees develop a downturn plan based on “Part 1” recommendations from Martha-Ann Marley.

Attendance at “Part 1” is not required to attend this workshop.

Facilitators will include:

Project Execution:  Rick China, ARGO Electrical Group

A 1980 graduate of the US Naval Academy, Rick China (kee-nah) is Senior Vice President of ARGO Electrical Group, and a past president of ASA of Baltimore.  Prior to his service at ARGO, Rick spent six years splitting his time between the US and Kenya as CEO & President of International Green Structures.

Contract Negotiation:  Kate Lawrence, Lawrence Law

Kate Lawrence founded Lawrence Law in 2013 with the objective of developing an accessible and full-service law firm for members of the construction industry.  Kate represents businesses in both litigation and corporate matters, and her clients range from small family-owned companies to multi-million dollar commercial enterprises.  Known in the construction industry for her credibility and professionalism, Kate is dedicated to achieving the most favorable results for each of her clients.

Finance:  Trip Harrison, Curtis Engine & Equipment

Trip Harrison and his partners acquired Curtis Engine in 2006 and he became the CEO in 2018, after serving as Vice President and CFO for more than a dozen years. Prior to joining Curtis Engine, Trip built his professional background in corporate finance and strategy consulting, providing strategic planning, mergers and acquisition, and due diligence services to large and small companies in a variety of industries as well as private equity firms.

Culture & Leadership:  Warren Quinn, HUMANS AT WORK

Warren Quinn is the Executive Director for ASA of Baltimore and has spent his entire professional career focusing on the leadership and organization development needs of privately-held companies and non-profit organizations.  As CEO of his firm, HUMANS AT WORK, his current practice areas include private executive advisory, Insight Leadership Group facilitation, and association management services.
